Silver that brings light to life
Our story
Helen had an interest in making jewellery since her teens, and started at Harrow School of Art studying Jewellery design. Unfortunately, life (and parents) intervened, and she went on to pursue a career in statistics and education.
She relocated to Herefordshire in 2020 and was able to resume her interrupted jewellery career. With help from Hereford College of Art her interests became more honed.
The Workshop
Much of Helen’s work uses a technique called fold forming, where silver is hammered to stretch and texture the sheet metal before being formed into the final shape, often influenced by nature.
The effect of light on the forged silver is particularly important in her work, and her pieces are inspired by both form and line.
“From start to finish, working with Helen was pleasant and stress free. She took my ideas and crafted them into something I couldn’t have imagined.”
